There is already coin that looks alike bitconnect, there is ethconnect it's at bitconnect clone but based on ethereum. And there is Electra coin, who had staking, lending, and mining features but basically just like bitconnect

GoldReward is another one with the same kind of scheme. The hype around these things after seeing bitconnect's "results" is insane.
ICO Round 1 = 32 hour sell out ICO Round 2 = 40 minute sell out ICO Round 3 = TBA (probably middle of next week or something)

I don't know if you've heard it already, but there are two ICOs that seem to copy what BitConnect is doing, but what they use as a title has nothing to do with Bitcoin but ETH and LTC. I'm talking about EthConnect and LiteConnect. You can read their thread posted here and here. Although if I were you, I won't bother investing in them, especially if they're promoting the same properties similar to BitConnect.

Pretty sure there are a lot of teams building platforms based around the same concept of Bitconnect, e.g. Ethconnect

I have a coin, selling it in ICO and then implement a backdoor into POW algorithm to mine everything for myself, anyone trying to mine it will get zero reward, pools? > I control. exchange? > I control. marketcap? > again I'm selling and buying it by my self > I control. And I'm surprised why no one has cloned my business strategy yet?

Bitconnect is so successful, they have over $700 million USD in marketcap.
I'm surprised no one is copying Bitconnect yet.
Why would you copy a concept with a business model who is (IMHO) not viable in the long term. Read what people say about it and then you'll understand that something is not quite right about it.

EthConnect is expected to open soon. https://ethconnect.com/Most people fail to realize that BitConnect is an altcoin which is mineable. It is just like any other cryptocurrency variant but with other avenues to make money. You can make money in 4 different ways off BitConnect but everyone is so preoccupied and skeptical of the lending aspect. Everything in the Bitcoin world is DECENTRALIZED but people keep looking for that one figure or one entity to be responsible. People who don't understand things try to implement old ways of thinking to the Bitcoin world and call everything a scam. BitConnect is a socialized community regulated by itself in the cryptoworld just like Bitcoin. Anybody can argue that Bitcoin and every other cryptocurrency is a fraud because it is not backed by any government as a true fiat. They may call it an alternative digital currency or property or commodity but it is not the same as tangible fiat backed by the government. Remember, understanding what decentralization means is important because a lot of people still don't understand it. They are still brainwashed to think like centralist. We already saw what China and other countries did to Bitcoin but because it was decentralized, it just shrugged it off and investors adapted easily by shifting resources to more favorable countries that were more acceptant of it.

Is CryptoKitties a good way for people to hold the Ethereum coins?
Anyone have any other ideas on how to get people to hold the coin?
Don't think so, somehow it may work but not for now. Cryptokitties is kinda bad as a Store of value for Ethereum token Guess by holding Ethereum itself make more sense Bought 11ETH worth of Cats and now am stuck with it
