I'm still not quite sure I understand the value of an altcoin that is centralized in the sense that the creator can arbitrarily change its value. This sounds a bit like the US reserve bank, where they can arbitrarily change the interest rates to manipulate the value of the currency

It would be great if you could elaborate more on how people will trust an altcoin with this situation.
