In 2015 Unocoin was giving Rs.200(4$) worth bitcoins as promo codes.PROMO CODES ADDED BALANCE AS BITCOINS AND NOT AS CURRENCY, which is 0.006 BTC.
Now those bitcoins are worth over 90$.

I used one code on my account :

https://i.imgur.com/lNvaDwV.jpg (balance was added to my wallet)

After trying to withdraw them today, I was told to verify my account by submitting documents.
I did as told, after few hours they reversed my promo code by stating one of their points from T&Cs

https://i.imgur.com/hOSZHxo.jpg (they tried to make it look legit by showing that they are sending to my wallet, look at the previous ss. They were already in my wallet)

Code:
"Coupon reversed as the user did not get verified in 30 days."

This point was added in T&C after 6th of December:
Cached page of Coupons T&C as on 6th of December 2017 : http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://www.unocoin.com/coupons
Archived : http://archive.is/8haV6

Live page : https://www.unocoin.com/coupons
Archived: http://archive.is/U6fIS

Till 2016 non verified customers were even allowed to do trade with a limit of Rs10000(200$)

They should give 30 days from the day they changed T&Cs and not from the day I used my promo code.
They are gypping many customers by not paying off the money from promo code by using such a petty trick.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=124502
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=70511
These are the two users I could find, who are related to unocoin.

THEY THINK BY CLANDESTINELY CHANGING T&Cs IN A DAY THEY CAN RUN AWAY WITH THE FUNDS OF THE USERS AND STILL LOOK GOOD.[/b]

As I told you in our PM chat, anyone can make up anything about anyone else on the internet.  It's not proof.

It could be a smear campaign from a competitor.   Very easy to buy those from (cough) China.

Hi - specifically joined the forum for this.

I've also lost 0.00689441 BTC in the process. Insignificant perhaps, but the company seems to be reeking of some weird stuff. Here's the chronology for me:

Jan 2016 - signed up, got Rs 200 worth of BTC, didn't KYC
Jun 2017 - failed KYC (no idea why, only think I can think of is that i may have interchanged my passport pages)
Dec 8, 2017 - logged in after a while - my bitcoins are intact
Dec 13, 2017 - log in to complete KYC again, bitcoins gone! (They had been taken on Dec 8 when I logged in, on the same pretext)
Call to customer care:

CC: We have removed because you didn't verify within a month.
Me: There was no condition with the coupon when I joined. I was given no notification. How can you just randomly remove my BTC?
CC: We informed on our website. We are under no obligation to email you.
Me: Okay, but then did you put this up for users pre-2017? And why did it take so long to remove my BTC then?
CC: We arbitrarily extended your timeframe. Then we removed it.
Me: But how can it be arbitrary? You never notified me!
CC: We had a 2year policy for users pre-2017, and you crossed the 2 year threshhold.
Me: But its still 23 months, 1 month is left.
CC: Its your fault you didn't verify all this while. We will not refund now.

(This really happened. They really did make a 2 year window on the spot and backtracked)!

I think that if they are just blatantly changi their terms and conditions in order to avoid paying the promo codes that they issued before, they should really be ashamed of themselves. Just because bitcoin went up, doesn't mean that their duty to fulfill their previous promises can be void.

Plus, these kind of money is probably absolutely miniscule in terms of their trading volume. They can obviously afford to pay for this.

You've gotten verified for this, and they should allow you to claim whatever balance you have with them, whether or not you got it from a coupon for free or not. They haven't stated this before you signed up and redeemed the coupon code either as it seems.
