John McAfee Predicts a Bitcoin Price of $1M by Late 2020!! Is it feasible?

John McAfee has become a interesting personality in the world of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. After making an early prediction of US$500,000 per BTC, he’s now adjusted his projection to US$1 million. It’s a very ambitious goal, considering this value must be reached by 2020.

Can this be possible?? At least will it it hit US$ 0.5 mill?

Damn even the imagination of Bitcoin touching $1M is pretty scary as just about 100 satoshis would be worth a dollar. With Bitcoin's growth during the course of the current year, it zoomed past all expectations and speculations, hitting $20k even before Christmas and stabilising around that mark. Come 2020, although hard to figure out if we're in the reality, the million dollar mark might be reached if current scalability issues are resolved.

John McAfee is an eccentric old man, so don't take him seriously. In a perfect situation, I go for a price of $100,000 by that time frame. It's impossible to ignore the effect of short term bear markets, or a longer term consolidation phase. Most people coming up with such predictions blindly assume that we keep increasing at current percentage rates, which isn't possible. What we have experienced this year in terms of how much we have gone up, will likely be never seen again within a year. People have gotten so used to the growth of this year, that I think if we see the market go up "only" 100% next year (which would lift the market to $35,000-$40,000), that people will get bored.

Yeaaa i won't deny about his statement nor support it , everything is so wild in crypto market.
Also mcafee looks so crazy thesedays talking about bitcoin , he is full of energy but also overconfident.
$1M isn't something impossible , bitcoin can make it happen , i just not sure if there soemthing unexpected happened in the future and changes what we have predicted.

It´s almost impossible that Bitcoin will have a valuation of $1m by 2020. To reach that, it would need to keep growing like the last 2 years and its not very probable. However it´s crypto and everything is possible.

i believe that John McAfee is so hyped up about bitcoin and is also heavily invested in it. and because of that he also reflects the hype up station in his public appearances.
it is both a good and a bad thing. it is good because obviously it is talking about a real potential that bitcoin has and $1 million is nothing for it. but also to encourage people to invest in bitcoin thinking they will be millionaires is not such a good idea if you ask me. and that brings in lots of weak hands. and that is only good for whales in short term when they shake them out and make profit from them.

I do believe in his dream! This is extremely feasible in my opinion. Right now the price is extremely low, if you buy just about 1 bitcoin and think about it when it becomes a million dollars each then that would be extremely a good investment! I do think bitcoins could even go up as high as $20,000 before the year ends and that might not even be the highest it could get this year! So I would advice anyone to just keep on buying bitcoins.

This is old, why are you posting this just right now? It has been discussed a lot of times in here, and he clearly said that he would bet his manhood in order to see bitcoin going up to one million dollars.
But i dont think that it will happen by 2020, there are a lot of obstacles right now.
