Making a thread so that I can get my forum status upgraded.  I joined the forums specifically to get in to the group buy that unfortunately closed before I could get my account status to be able to post Sad

I am happy to respond to help you escape "Newbie Jail". I just have to make
this post long enough, and not less than 6 minutes from my last post.
I hope I got this right.

Do you have any idea when you are released?

Do these newbie restrictions really improve the overall quality of the forum? IMO it only forces "newbies" to generate (more or less) meaningless postings.
Isnt there a possibility to set the users restriction based on quality of a posting rather than on the quantity of postings?

I think that the restrictions are kind of lame, but what can you do?  Rules are there for a reason.  Hopefully, they are there to make sure the community is safe

The restrictions are there so that people can't make new accounts too fast. Also, nobody really reads newbie threads after they get out Cheesy

If nobody reads these posts, and you are Full Member, what are you
doing looking at these? Better be careful, or you might get bounced
back to the Minor Leagues!  Smiley

In case it wasn't totally obvious, this was a very flippant reply and all
meant in jest.

Good luck on getting upgraded, make sure and use escrow with all group buys!

When I would be able to send a PM? I found a very nice business and I am eager to get in contact with that person.
