not sure if anyone else noticed, but overnight, from 8/5 to 8/6, the network-wide hashrate jumped from 279Thash to 329Thash..  That's a 50 Terrahash jump overnight.. 50 TH!

Any one want to field guesses/estimates/take-credit for the jump?

And if you look at the 8-hour window, it jumped 150TH/s!!!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked And 48 hours before that, we LOST 150TH/s. What a coincidence!

You can't accurately account for a 150TH/s swing over a 8 hour window. It's variance, plain and simple. Nothing to see here.

Never heard of them. Link to where they've been proven legit?

Oh, and $65k USD per TH/s is actually pretty high. See my post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=234025.0 . All numbers are based of a 1TH/s number, so it's right in line. Almost every single BFL, Avalon, BitFury, and KNC miner is cheaper than what they're offering.

I agree, this is not cheap, it can't be based on any of the new ASICs at that price. We'll be offering far better rates based on KnCMiner equipment.

Just another comparison, Friedcat with his 130nm ASICs pays ~$10k per terahash

Since network hashrate is only statistically inferred it could just be blind luck.

I guess even the early ASIC users can stop when the advanced and latest users have such powerful hash rates Sad

The key to there solution is that it will be shipping very soon.   You have to figure that in your numbers.  By soon I mean soon.
