Not for me, not yet at least.
At first Multibit seemed the most appropriate for my needs, but from the start it gave me (and still give) too many problems (slow interface, memory hungry, bugged, unstable, and so on...). I even tried to reinstall it, but didn't change anything. As an example, I still have some transaction not appearing in the list (very small ones, by the way). Starting it is a "lottery" every time,
unluckily I can't win anything for this Grin
This is my experience.
I reported to the developer some glitches. and asked some advices, a long time ago, but seemed he didn't care very much, so I don't care to report anymore too.
Personally I will not suggest it to anyone, especially to newbie. Going to give a better try at Electrum this month.

Edit: I have to say a good thing at least, Multibit creates "rolling" backup of the wallets by itself (ironically is the least thing I needed, because I am a "backup-guy" Smiley).
