I found this interesting study of the Economic Freedom Index within the US, with an employment correlation.

Surprisingly, FL captured most of the top 20, but the Free State Project area is at #3! There are other places I didn't expect in the top 20, such as Boulder, and places in VA. There are also places I didn't expect to see in the bottom 20, such as some in AK, and WA.

Most of the bottom 20 though, as expected, are in the people's republics of NY and CA.  Smiley
