[ANN] Versus - Decentralized Multiplayer Tournaments For Almost Any Game

Versus is a token made for hosting online gaming tournaments among friends in almost any game. We aim to become the universal cryptocurrency for inofficial gaming tournaments.
This token, together with our Duel Contract system, allows any Versus token holders to host a tournament for their game of choice. Tournament parameters like entry cost, match rules and prize money for the winner(s) have to be set by the tournament host.

Anvil Space

The Anvil Space will be our integrated marketplace allowing any game studios including small indie developers to publish their games on our platform. Games will be hosted for free and any profits will be fully rewarded to the developer. Our vision is to build a non-commercial open-source gaming community.

Project Vision

We focus on becoming the preferred platform for hosting casual online tournaments among friends or other events like LAN-parties. Hosting game tournaments will be easy, accessible and possible for almost any online game. Our Anvil Space fulfills our goals by offering game developers a way to publish their games without companies taking a cut of their profits. Being entirely free, anyone will be able to help build our community.

Organize Tournaments

Our Versus Desktop applications allows for easy hosting of multiplayer tournaments in most of the available games. The tournament host can choose whether players have to pay to participate in the match and how much. It will also be possible to issue bounty tokens for good teamplay and cooperation, as well as a prize money for the tournament winner(s).
Available configuration parameters depend on the game.

Community Is Everything

All token holders can receive the possibility to join a jury to decide on future implementations within the Versus project development.
15% of the top token holders will have this possibility, among with 15% chosen among the game developers and another 60% among all other token holders.
For every vote, poll participants receive 1-100 Versus tokens as a bounty for submitting their vote. Polls will be held at the end of each month with around 100 members participating.

Token Sale

Initial token distribution will be in the form of a pre-sale. Anyone can acquire Versus tokens by sending ETH tokens to our or buying purchasing on the EtherDelta exchange as soon as the sale starts.
Our crowdsale will start on Feb. 01 2018 and lasts through the whole month. 100 Versus tokens can be acquired for 0.04 ETH. While our initial supply is set to 100.000.000, all unsold tokens will be burned when the sale ends.

• 5 million tokens will be held for use as bounties
• 2.5 million tokens will be held for use by the development team
• Tokens not sold during the sale will be burned

Sounds interesting to me...
I always want to start multiplayer matches with random guys but its difficult. People often leave the team so there is no chance for a serious and stable team   a tournament with a real prize money is a pretty cool option to make it more serious and people will stay for the hole tournament. At least i hope so

We had to postpone our crowdsale start to February 2018 since there is still some additional testing and development required to meet our set standards.

This sounds awesome! I'd love a project like this, I'm playing a lot of semi-competitive multiplayer büt always feel like I can't rely on devs to make a decent online torunament for non-pros. it's either imba shit or too little contestants most of the time to make it fun, at least that's my experience, mostly based on SC2. Plus I just can't get all my buds in one session and put on a real torunament, especially when there'S no prize to be won and one dude just quits or, even worse, just cheeses the hell out of everybody. So in that regard I'd love the features of this, hope it will make it and get some ground! <3
