I wrote ~100 words to explain some points I saw on the "Yes" side.

It hasn't gone through and isn't even counted to the "No" Side. This site is a scam  Angry

No way I will try again, it took enough of my time on the first try.

Also, a site where every single point is reviewed by a Mod with his own opinion before it gets even posted is hardly a debate.

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

Yes, I think that Bitcoin is a scam and makes people believe that they are receiving free money.

Yes, when I pay $100 for 1 bitcoin I believe that I'm getting free money  Roll Eyes

Just put your computer to work on its own in order to make easy money for you.

It seems as though people have mining confused with bitcoins.

There is no supporting, stable (= governmental) infrastructure.

This is backed by nothing, but "faith".

There is a community supporting its value, which is much better than a single government. The Weimar Republic, Zimbabwe, and Cyprus would like a word with you...

Also, all currencies are backed by faith. Paper money is worth only as much as people believe it is.

Overall, it seems as though the people arguing "yes" have no idea what they're talking about. The only valid point I saw was that it fluctuates too often to be used as a normal currency (but that was in the No section for some reason). But as more bitcoins are added, and are distributed into the hands of more people, mass purchases and sells will have less effect, so I can see stability in the future. I'll definitely vote "No" and write up a good argument, however I fail to see how Bitcoin can possibly be a "scam", seeing as there's no central authority to profit off of its success...

Sorry for the double post, but if you make an account the comment is posted instantly. The site's not a scam.

Any time someone claims it's a scam, ponzi or other form of con then get them to explain why it's open source because if it was a scam they wouldn't want people to look at the code and fine weaknesses, all these comments are just being made by incredibly stupid people.
