So I used Electrum to make a small payment in BTC 0.006 (about $100 worth) and had a balance of about 0.234 BTC prior to the transaction. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw my balance was ZERO. WT?Huh

I noticed that the rest of the balance was sent to another address that I had in my wallet. I was somewhat relieved, as I still have control over the BTC but WHAT THE HECK? Why did Electrum do this?

The remaing 0.228 (the change) was sent to your change address inside the Electrum wallet. That's a normal behavior.
