How to transact my bitcoins after hard-fork without losing the forked altcoins (i.e., bitcoin diamond, BCX, Super Bitcoin, etc) which lack of replay attack protection except for export my private key and recovery phrase?
Current status: In order to gain various hard-forked altcoins, I stored my bitcoins into my hardware Ledger Nano S wallet before hard-fork. After hard-fork, I am going to move my bitcoins from my hardware wallet into exchanges for transaction. As some of the hard-forked altcoins have no replay attack protection and no new launched corresponding wallets by the Dev, if I move my bitcoins to exchanges the altcoins will be moved and I will lose the ownership of these altcoins.
Question: I am wondering how I can use my bitcoins without losing my hard-forked altcoins.
I appreciate your help.
AFIAK, all these forks will have replay protection. In case if it's not. You can do following steps. Pick up exchange which has split these coins. It would be exchange what trading those forks (
NOT futures but actual coins). Withdraw some bitcoins from that exchange. Join your bitcoins with output from exchange and send this transaction back to exchange in one transaction (join inputs). It would be valid transaction in bitcoin network, but invalid in fork chain and you keep you fork coin.
