Up until now I used reaper for solo mining scrypt coins and cgminer for pool mining. I have recently decided that I would like to use cgminer for pool and solo mining. I recently tried to solo mine a new scrypt coin and after the client launched as server with the correct .conf file (hostname was 127.0.0.1 and the port was 9332) and the line in the .bat was: cgminer --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:9332/ -u username -p password -I 20.

When I ran the batch file, the error I got in cgminer was: No suitable long poll found for http://127.0.0.1:9332

Why did I receive that error message? What does it mean? How do I resolve it?

Thank you!

thats normal when you solo-mine. its because its not a pool with longpolling enabled

Oh. Thanks, I just ignored the message and everything is working now. Thanks Smiley, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to mining.
