Mtgox Signup Error 503 How to solve it?

Helo i recieved from mtgox support
This error occurs only when there is a threat to our website or your IP is accessing our website too many times per minute.
But i i do nosend any request to mtgox looks like it is mistake. Can support unblock my ip?
What else can i do to slove problem?

Go to a better exchange instead. For example bitstamp.net or bitcoin.de - they are cheaper, faster, and better than MtGox.

During the spike in volume of trades when the value jumped to 260 and likewise when it dropped to 60, people were buying/selling like crazy and it overwhelmed the servers. There was also a rumor that the servers were hacked (rumors likely). Either way they suspended new user registration to update hardware/security in the meantime. Now i also got this error last night when trying to register... but then this morning i got an email from Mtgox confirming my registration lol? I can log in and am going through verification process. In other words.. check your email

Getting the same error as OP. Mt. Gox is a closed system right now :-).

Just in case: I've always been able to buy or sell as much as I wanted on both bitstamp.net and bitcoin.de
