Segwit2x Fork - 28th December

I still can’t work this out.

I’m looking to make the most I can out of this, so plan to sell many of my alt coins back for BTC before the 28th!

Once I do that, and send to my trezor ready for the fork. Can I then buy alt coins again from the 29th or do I need to leave it in my trezor BTC wallet until they release there guide to splitting?

I didn’t own any alts when the last split happened to trexor just gave me the BTG.

Slightly confused but I don’t want to go to the effort of selling everything to get this coin if I need to leave it in my wallet for a month or however lon
