Hi, let me clear the topic.

In next month, I'll build mining rig for $2000-$3000 dollar, I think I can allocated more than that if the mining rig it self is worth to buy and recover my daily money. First of all, I have an vision about how mining rig will look like. But I need more advice from person who advanced in mining field since this is my first mining rig.

So I have 2 option about NVIDIA and AMD platform. For motherboard and cpu, I'll take mostly cheap like Asrock with as many as PCI lane have(Pro BTC h81 as my first option, if you have better, feel free to advice) and intel celeron for processor, 4 gigs of ram, and 1000 watt PSU. Now, i just have 550 watt PSU from my last old PC, i dont use them anymore since I have laptops.

What do you think about GPU? I just have 3 main option because my budget is very limited. GTX 1060, GTX 1050 TI, or RX 480. What should I pick, the power bill is 0.1 dollar for 1kWh. Is efficiency is matter when I build such small rig like this?

ETH isnt the most profitable coin out there right now.
I think with the 1060 you have more options. Jack of all trades.

Unless you want Crytonight.

So to the OP you need to decide what algo roughly you want to mine before you setup a rig.
Of these cards I think the 1050 and the 480 will have crappier resale as they are older gen cards.
The 6Gb 1060 will give best resale imo.

What's a better coin to mine then?

I get the point, if so, what do you think about throwing to 2-3 1080 that I can get, and 4-5 1060?
