Legions at war a turn based strategy game engine developed by South African based company Digital Legion promises an interesting adaption on blockchain technology. They aim to switch central server reliance of their server side code/data to a Blockchain / P2P system. Blockchain offers unparalleled secure online decentralized storage and players are rewarded with in-game tokens if they agree to act as a node. An ambitious project but clear signs of self sustaining networks emerging from blockchain technology. Many server side reliant games like Firefall met their death when servers got shut down due to mounting costs.
