Hello Everyone

My regards to the most esteemed Nakamoto S.

In Furtherance of the Species it would be grand if we could incentivize a blockchain based replication of a strong participatory knowledge archive.  Greater still, if we could reward participation and verification of valid terms, definitions, and articles.

I'm tempted to publish a paper on this idea but I want to debate it / duke it out / talk it over with some really excellent minds first so I can get the theory down as strong as possible before I set out to writing.

In general, I had an idea for a website, which I now think is great for a cryptocurrency:

Online, the universe is navigated by search terms.
In this world, a search term can have a definition and
other users can up vote the definition or down vote it.

Beyond a particular threshold of upvotes-to-downvotes, the original content creator and the upvoter get some reward coin every Abundance Cycle.

The reason there is an Abundance Cycle is because there are specific moments in history when blocks are written (states of the archive) and also there are endless facts to be written about so the reward coin for this Abundance Cycle reward has no actual supply cap (however, a machineryCoin to act as a glue for the network does have a limited supply).

It costs a tiny bit of "machinery coin" to upvote anything.  Every Abundance Cycle, all the top 20% upvoted stuff (and the accounts that upvoted them) get a 80-20 kickback of MachineryCoin, as well as some AbundanceCoin.

Meaning, people who wrote content and people who approved it get a return on their investment of effort.  Naturally, articles can be written that don't get seen or upvoted so there must be some sort of Freshness Reader in the protocol and application that brings new content rapidly to the surface for inspection.

The idea is that in the beginning Abundance Coin as a reward will far outweigh MachineryCoin, but eventually it will cost a bit to vote on changes to articles and additions to database so that the kickback for creating content will still be there but there will be just as equal a kickback for voting stuff up / keeping it legit.

I'm not sure how to work with 2 coins yet but I feel like that's the solution in this case: where an attack-proof blockchain is desired as well as rewarding participation for adding new content.  One coin has a supply that's capped like BTC does, but the other just increases in supply (at a fixed rate) so it is inflationary and the underlying protocol-replication reward has inelastic demand long-term.

Feasibility Assessment, anyone kind? =)
