I tried logging into my old blockchain.info wallet.  It seemed to let me log in with the wallet ID and password all fine and then pops up

"Enter your second password to update the wallet".

Now I know my second password because I wrote it down.  I also have the backup words which I put into their old recovery tool which gave the same password I was expecting.

That said when I type in this password it just says 'no'.

I have my old json.aes wallet backup file that apparently worked with multibit.  I even have my old private keys it generated.

Can I use a new wallet to get this tx history?

Is there any other way I can log into my original blockchain.info wallet anymore?  I need this because bitstamp is requiring screenshots of the purchase history of that wallet and I'm in a rock and a hard place now.

If you have the private keys, you could import them to another wallet and see your addresses and then, check your addresses in the blockchain, since all you need is a proof that you sent funds to the exchange. As for the blockchain.info wallet itself then a lot of people faced this issue while trying to upgrade, I'm not aware of any solutions, you may want to try and contact support.

Thanks for the quick reply and helpful tips.  I think you're right I may have to just look at a new wallet approach but rather frustrating since I need to prove when fiat deposits were made which I expect will only be visible in that wallet.

I tried looking for a blockchain.info support email or website but their support website is just a FAQ site and no contact options seem to exist.  If anyone knows a support email it would be really helpful (assuming they respond Smiley)

They have ticket system where you can address your problem and just choose "I have a general question."

You just need to fill up the forms that you can answer and provide specific details and don't forget about a working email, they will contact you through it.

After sending, try to check your email from time to time.

Fiat deposits?

How you will prove when fiat deposits were made with bitcoin only wallet (blockchain.info)?

What type of proof bitstamp is asking you? If you want to look at tx history of your wallet than with backup phrase you can import it to electrum, where you can view all of your past tx history.
