I believe that 2018 will be an important (make or break) year for bitcoin.
Wit the current stagnation and the scaling issues something has to happen.
Either the dev team finds a solution and price will go trough the roof again, or they are not able to fix it and we will see a further decline.
Best case situation then is that another alt coin takes over, worst case scenario: bitcoin declines and all alts suffer from it.
