Dear members,

On 15.01.17. In a moment of carelessness, I made a transaction of bitcoins (BTC) from my coinbase account to USDT address in Cryptopia. I realized my mistake but it was too late and the transaction cleared with 6+ confirmations in a couple of hours.

Transaction ID:  27ddeac780978f24d49b493cc9b6b819a6d819e2d9c406fd5f1673246da814f7
Output address: 1DJheE2EGZsyXRG8SfeTtivSgbezL34bGB

the address I sent my bitcoins to is:  1EqkMgZaR8vaPQJ1gHjbNY75Cp9k7i1L6T

I checked with transaction hash and transaction ID and it shows my BTC balance.

I am new here to cryptocurrencies and invested all money from credit.

Is there someone who can help me out here?

I heard one way to do it is to find the private key and export this key to another wallet.

1. How to I find the private key of my Cryptopia USDT wallet (where I transferred BTC)

I have contacted both supports but still no reply....is my hope lost?

Wait for a reply, cryptopia can get you your money back.
They deal with this more often.

There is a 50/50 chance to recover it. I'm guessing the amount is fair enough to get support from cryptopia team. As far I know, cryptopia's new rules are much priority to its users and they are promised to resolve such problems under certain conditions. Let's hope the postive thing. Good luck.

and binance support said
"Your transaction has been confirmed in the block chain already. Which means that Binance has transferred coins in the block chain successfully.

If your still has issue on the transaction. It is suggested to negotiate to the owner of designation address or target wallet kindly. Sorry, Binance has no way to help you at this moment."

I guess that's the boilerplate response they give everyone.
If the address you sent it to was given to you by Binance then they actually hold the private key to that address and can retrieve the coins IF they wish to.
Whether they choose to help you or not however is up to them.

No, it seems that in this case he sent USDT from binance to a BTC adress he chose. Binance can actually do nothing in that case.

Where did you send the USDT to balotelli?

Hi!

Unfortunately, There is no chance to get back a transaction!  Embarrassed
BTC Wallets no have any admins.
You obviously don't understand how exchanges work. Ofcourse they have access to the private keys of their clients.

Even if they have the private key, how can they reverse such a transaction?

They can't reverse a transaction. But if they have the private-key, they can use it to send the USDT back to you (a completely new transaction).

So, two transactions will happen there:

1. You sent the USDT to them.
2. They sent the USDT back to you.
