Hi there.

Buying energy directly from producers is quite interesting for me as a consumer. But I am not sure how things are supposed to work, so perhaps people could clarify things to me.

Suppose I live in a country where WePower (or other solution for that matter) operates and has producers producing energy and selling it on WePower platform.

I, as a consumer, am connected to my regular electricity grid.

How do I actually use the energy I buy on WePower?

The best thing I could come up was that WePower then has a contract with the grid and the grid knows that for a certain amount of kwh it is already paid.

But perhaps someone could clarify this?
