Bitcoin hinders EAC plans

The popularity of Bitcoin prevents the creation of a single currency for the countries of the East African Community (EAC)

Bernard Dadi, head of the National Payment System of the Bank of Tanzania, said that EAC member countries are continuing to develop their own currency, which will become a legal tender in Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Southern Sudan. However, digital currencies create problems.
