Skyrocket gains with margin trading? Who made huge gains with margin trading ?

I’m trying to understand margin trading and how it can be applied successfully to skyrocket gains.

How is my following thinking ?
The only risk is at the beginning because if a coin goes 20% up for a few hours you are pretty much safe.
If you put an extreme leverage such as 300 to 1 if your coin goes slightly down and then skyrockets you will never see the gains as you will automatically have to sell on the little down part whereas if you didn’t margin or margin traded less the down would not have been sufficient to get you out and you would see the rewards of the up.
