Damn, they're not making this easy!  Cheesy I'm in NY. I want to buy some of the alt cryptos like Dash, Ripple, Monero. I just found out I can't use Poloniex or Kraken in NY. I can use Coinbase but they only offer Bitcoin, Eth and Litecoin. Anybody found a good exchange for alt cryptos that a NY'er can trade on?
 Thanks.

It's my first time to hear that NewYork can't use other exchanges other than coinbase. Have you tried waves platform? they are using waves to trade. Others are Bitrex, Hitbtc, coinexchange, cex and a lot more, do your own research there are more to find, the one that I have suggested are the most used in our place.

But what did not Bitrex please you? One of the largest exchanges. Polonix is also a good exchange. This is one of the most famous exchanges with large turnover.

Most people buy ETH or BTC, move it to an exchange (Bittrex / Binance etc) and then buy any altcoin they please.

Coinbase's deposit limit does suck at the start so I feel your pain!

Binance is a good choice. Binance has become the number one exchange, and Binance has a great experience. You can try it.

You use Coinbase to exchange your cash to bitcoin then you send the bitcoin to one of the many exchanges, one is Binance if you are looking to buy altcoins like ripple,  verge, ada and many others but at the moment pretty much all exchanges are not taking new customers, so you are going to have to wait until they reopen just google crypto currency exchanges to find them, the rush to get involved has begun, its only the beginning
