Question: What should DGC spend their funds on to make for a better survivable currency.
A Dynamic Chackpoint system.
A huge fund to pay BTCe.
At least one client update?
Ice Cream.
Hookers. plus Ice Cream.

My own Vote goes towards a Dynamic Checkpoint system as I see the Diff dropping dramatically post the high Diff push up , making a political Currency such as DGC there for the taking .

and survival is the number one aim I'd hope , with no security or survival = no currency , = no exchange = stop bothering.

Personally if i were the DGC dev I wouldn't have a problem in the world dynamically check pointing every 1000 blocks with a 20 reward.

As i said for the smaller PoW currencies the time is now to fix this stuff, I'm also working on it.

non action could have a detrimental effect .

never been into hookers personally - never needed  , i guess.

it think its cultural , in some places a hooker is indeed a dirty thing.

having said that all women are divinely beautiful .

**  a hooker WITH ice cream however... is a tooootally different story.

: D

** OK so if hooker with ice cream wins this poll this is indicating to me worlds about the situation.

I take back everything I've ever said that could be construed as negative towards both Hookers and/or Ice-cream.

Both of these things have their inherent benefits.

and it appears that when acting together they are a forced to be reckoned with indeed.

Let me add some sociological reasons to design a secure dynamic checkpoint system .

If the market that is mining DGC  knew that a secure checkpoint was being added say every 1000 blocks , wouldn't they have more confidence in mining DGC knowing that it will have a future .

You see it's the uncertainty that causes the problem .

Lets kids , explore that variant of reality .

Checkpoints are added , the market feels that DGC is a long term secure currency .

They set into thier mind a difficulty at which they would keep mining above the profitability scale.

So that is to  say  as the market gains confidence they hold more , thus driving price up and keep mining towards higher difficulty .

Then that could be self  fulfilling , and as the market believes the volume rises buyers come in and etc etc.

I think anything that makes a solid infrastructure would help an alternate currency hugely when it comes to trading with it, too many of these digital currencies including Bitcoin have very little in the way of user friendly support we need more independent open source shopping cart software going up that are specifically for digital currencies.

I agree Lethn - i think we are moving towards a multi-currency system.
