Pretty good article here on Mark Zuckerberg's New Year's resolution to see if/how Facebook can decentralize.

Also touches on Synereo, WildSpark, and the AMP altcoin. For those who don't know, Synereo is working towards a decentralized social network and liberated attention economy.
