Best platform for frequent alt coin trades?

Hello, I have been using crypto-trade to play in the alt coin markets and am impressed with their fees and their interface is fine. However, the volume is really low so its hard to scalp or make profit on short trades. Are there any more active exchanges with more frequent trades?

What kind of volume do you need to trade alt coins with? I just started mining lite coins, but don't  know how to liquidate.
