Am not an Israeli. The nation of Israel is surrounded nations that never wanted her existence, so in 1967 the hope to stay in the promise land was put to test and as divinity will have it, the inexperienced and poorly armed army of Israel defeated all Arab nation coalitions.
Today, the nation of Israel has continue to wax stronger and stronger daily, in the Middle East, they have the best military, and they are the most advanced technological nation in the Middle East. Although her population is few compare to other well established nations, yet they continue to be a wonder to the world.
I once read how the Prime minister stated that "We have helped to avert many terrorist attack in some nations of the world that we lend support to through our intelligence network and these include developed nations".
They have never fail to attribute God to their success.
I believe the finger of God is upon Israel.

even if a higher power would exist, the problem then is that the higher power will have its own will, its own choice, and its own desires,
you cannot therefore necessarily count on it.
and it might be not good that all people believe in it.
additionally who will have the right to describe and define gods character? the jews? the muslims? the christians? this will quickly lead also to an antireligious atheistic opposition.
