"There was also a .net GUI built in C# which was posted on reddit if anyone cares to find it"

Has anybody seen it and know where to download ?

I'm not sure which client you may have seen, but I'm currently (and with some recent help) working on a c# node. It's still only in the prototyping stage but you can see it here: https://github.com/pmlyon/BitSharp/wiki
