An airdrop is the free distribution of a particular cryptocurrency or token. There appears to be some controversy within this forum over whether or not DeepOnion is actually conducting an airdrop.

A ".onion" address is best explained here: https://www.torproject.org/docs/hidden-services.html.en

It would be best if you could explain why you might need a VM. You can host a VM on your computer with VMWare or VirtualBox, which may or may not be better than using a paid solution. Using Azure or AWS, for example, may be a better option if you know how to use the command line interface and the particular VM solution they are offering meets requirements that your computer does not.

I just want to say thank you so very much for your response! I had a mishap with warranty and my laptop and literally just got back up and running right before the new years. But I have since downloaded virtual box and stared learning the command line stuffs kinda  going from there. Still a long long way to go tho.
The Tor site was very informative thanks fir that too! Hope you've had a great few months!
