I was holding Bitcoin in a personal wallet that didn't support bitcoin cash at the time the bitcoin/ bitcoin cash fork occurred. Since there were no officially "safe" wallets supporting bitcoin cash right after the fork and I wanted to be sure I did not loose my Bitcoin in the process; I moved my Bitcoin to a different wallet before I tried to put my private key into any of the wallets supporting Bitcoin cash at the time to claim it.
I never managed to claim my Bitcoin Cash at the time since the private key always just showed an empty wallet.
While i do not have the original Bitcoin wallet installed on my PC at the time i still have the private keys etc. to go with it. Is there still a way to claim the Bitcoin cash or is it lost for good?
And if it is still retrievable what would be the best way to go about it?
Any help would be appreciated
Your wallet software is just software, the amount of money that Blockchain recognizes that you have in your wallet is what is important.
If you had Bitcoins on an address before Bitcoin Cash launched then you will have Bcash within your wallet.
Just download Coinomi on your phone and import your private keys into it.
Bither wallet works as well.
