I am a newbie, I do not know how to change my avatar. hope you help!

You can't upload an image as an avatar as "Newbie" You need to be at least "Full member" if I remember correctly. So nothing to do for you.
Once you're a full member you will need to go to "Forum Profile Information" in your settings.
