Are those crypto pump groups on cryptopia for real or Scam ?

Are these pump groups a scam ?

How most of these groups work:

1 - Small group of whales find some low volume coins on the exchange.
2 - They make an announcement in the pump and dump groups without a coin name and get all the people hyped
3 - Before the announcement of the coin they go and buy a big stack of it (price already goes up after that）
4 - They announce the coin and tell people to hold to them for hours or days
5 - Coin gets pumped very fast, they sell their positions after minutes （sometimes 30 seconds or 1 minute after the big pump)
6 - Coin dumps
7 - You lose money
