Quantum Computing's potential?

I'm not a tech guy, but what I understand is that our computers now read in the language of 1 and 0. While Quantum Computing can interact with a language between 0.1 to 2(or something like that). I understand that Google, IBM, and small startups like Rigetti are offering demos using Quantum Computing for cloud storage. But, what other applications can this open and how will this tech affect current industries?
