Hey Everyone,
Just wondering the best BTC pool to use my asic usb miner with (333 MH/S)
If I'm currently mining COINOTRON at 333 MH/s and if i switch to another pool with the same MH/s rate and pool fees, will I make the same?
People are saying not to mine BTC at coinotron because they don't compete blocks that often, does this affect my personal MH/s payout because they complete blocks at different rates? (figured that risk was with the pool operators)

Being in a pool gets you a share of every block the pool finds. the bigger the pool, the more blocks found. however, in a small pool you'll get a larger chunk of each block that is found so, all things being equal your income over time should be the same on average. In the bigger pools you just get a smalller share more often.
Basically, stay in the pool you like, where you are happy. I'm in Slush's pool, I keep eyeing BTCguild, but i don't think i'd make any more money there even though they find twice as many blocks. I like Slush's pool, the people in it's support thread are for the most part nice, o nice community. I also think that the operator of BTCguild is pretty good. he is very comunitve(is that a word?) and spends a lot of time supporting his pool.

I'm using btcmp, I get about 0.011 BTC per usb per 24 hours. I tried deepbit and got about 0.004 per usb, ugh! Only tried that for one day. Of course deepbit is a smaller pool...I think. Btcmp updates your balance very often and you can take a payment twice a day.
So I had the same question. What pool are people using, and how many BTC are you getting per 24 hrs per USB?

See that sticky at the top of this subforum? It's called Mining Pool List. It's got some really great info about which pool is right for you, from bandwidth-saving protocols to payment methods to optional features. Give at least those first two posts a thorough read through, and then come back with what questions you have. |

More specifically what I referring to was the concepts of overlapping ROI, resulting in reinvestment of most of the mined coins.  |

I am using btc guild.. yes they do have fees, but I tried others and guild was working the best for me.
i have an avalon so it hashes with more GH than yours so that's a little different.. but for me personally it's guild
