Zalim can also be defined as illicit deeds that do not fit the place. So, zalim or "tyrannical" both other people and self with any purpose, not justified in Islam.

Various acts that can be categorized in the act of despot will be very much if described. However, some can be exemplified such as maintaining liver disease, talking about you, indulging in a neighbor's disgrace, and so on.

These things fall into the wrongdoing done to oneself and the nearest person. Surely it should be avoided because in Islam, the prayer for the persecuted or tyrannized is one of the prayers that is pledged by Allah SWT. Subhanallah, so Mighty God over His power.

Understanding of Zalim

Zalim or mayhem, however form and its purpose is strictly prohibited by Allah SWT. Even Allah places the act (wrongdoing) into a great sin that will get a grievous reward in eternity hereafter. It is stated in the word of Allah SWT which reads,

إنما السبيل على الذين يظلمون الناس ويبغون في الأرض بغير الحق أولئك لهم عذاب أليم

'' And do not be you (Muhammad) think that God is careless, negligent, against what is done by those who do wrong. Verily, Allaah gave respite to them until that day when their eyes were wide open.". (Surat ash-Shura: 42)

Some of the unjust acts either to oneself or others remain not justified by Islam. Examples of actions that can be categorized as unjust acts include the following:

A father who feeds his family for ill-gotten money (money earned from cheating, corruption, and stealing).
A Mother who neglects her duty and allows her child and husband without affection and attention.
Someone who likes to talk about the ugliness of his neighbor.
Someone who likes to disgrace his family and relatives.
Slander, pitted sheep, arrogant, lying, and so forth.
