[RESOLVED] GHash.iO BUG - Workers report speed but no payout in shifts

Hi fellows bitcoin enthuasists,

I had a big problem with GHash.io and I warn you, WATCH for your shifts!

I hashed for almost 24 hours WITHOUT the shares being registered in the SHIFTS although in the workers STATS, they have been delivering shares during all that time.

This started to happen suddenly from block 3354 until block 3399 (almost 24hrs) when I finally realized my payout was not increasing in my balance!

I did send a message to GHash.io support and they replied that:

I did not had any reply so far and I'm missing about 1.3 BTC because of this bug!
Let's see if they will reimburse me. Keep you guys posted!

that is Brutal! Have you tried shifting your GH/s around via vouchers and re-initializing it?

I did not understand, you mean cloud mining vouchers?
These workers are two KnC Jupiters, its not part of their cloud mining environment.

Yes, I switched to another pool right after I detect this issue..
I'm not coming back hashing in GHash.io until they find out what's wrong and reimburse me.

So after posting this thread I've got a response from GHash.io support concerning the issue investigation and they did cover my loss and added 15% on top of it.

Our NL datacentre had been under DDOS attack on November 16 and it seems that US stratum server lost database connection and was not operating properly.

It works fine now.

Glad everything is sorted out now, just worried about how to avoid that issue if it happens again as the server (this case US) continues alive, making cgminer unable to switch pools.

Whenever their pool goes down for a short time they are always generous with reimbursements!
