The date for the testnet is fixed which is Aug 4th, 2020. The team members are claiming that they will be able to release the mainnet in November but this is not 100% so it can be delayed even further depending upon the bugs found during testnet release. If delayed price could take a hit (not 100% sure).
I also read earlier that Ethereum 2.0 will launch this November. Of course, we would like to see these improvements early, but this does not depend on us. The main thing is not even when the improvements will work in ethereum, but that in the future there are no failures and discovered vulnerabilities in the network. Therefore, let the ethereum development team continue to work until there is a great result.
