Life moves in one direction

 I decided to read books which talks about the directions of life, and i came across this quote,"life moves in one direction". Does life really move in one direction?? Please share your thoughts on this.

If by life, the quote means time, then yes. I think time moves in one direction. We are born to die pretty much. If by life, it means something else then that could be disputed further.
