Kraken exchange is shutdown now

what do you mean by 'shutdown' ?
because i can access the exchange,right here and right now.
i even got an email from them about 'free fees'.

They had a Scheduled maintenance started Jan 11. It took longer as they expected that's why the site was down, but it is now back online. To be updated and aware about the status of the site, always check https://status.kraken.com/ . Kraken also posted a new blog for being live again, Kraken Returns with Free Trading

because of the unreliable and unstable Kraken platform, I lost $11k last month, I wouldn't recommend kraken at all

 Their "free trades till Jan 31st" is just a last-ditch effort to stop everyone from deserting this junk exchange like rats leaving a sinking ship, one that probably won't save them.Just as soon as Withdrawals no longer say "Feature Disabled", I'm sure Kraken is going to lose half of its customers, most of us are tired of losing money and time trying to use their garbage platform.

It is sad because all they really had to do was have a decent interface. They literally have the most confusing setup I have ever seen and that is taking into account EtherDelta. SUcks for them, but they had their opportunity. Move aside for Binanace, Kucoin, and COSS they are doing some next level stuff!

We're so sorry for the delay. There was a much longer delay than expected, but we've finally got Kraken back online.

If you are experiencing bugs, please get help or report them by submitting a request at https://support.kraken.com.

Please read through our latest blog post for details on how long it will take for certain features to return to normal. Withdrawals will be initiated after 12 hours and margin liquidations will be paused for at least 48 hours.

Please note that everyone should be extremely careful with market orders and double-check limit order prices in an illiquid market.

I don't understand, I guess everything is going in that direction. Maybe there's another problem present here? It's obviously not what's been written about. Right now everything is accessible.

Hi Lirawe. This post was created when we were having a longer than expected downtime for our trading engine upgrade. It's live at this point and trading fees are free until the end of the month.
