What if merit received from negative trust users did not count

Thoughts, opinions? because there is nothing stopping a legendary red trusted person from spamming his merit on unsuspecting users because he is salty

I know if a user has a negative they will likely just spend it on their alt because their account is worthless in their eyes, but discrediting users who have received negative trust shouldn't really happen.

The trust and the merit system should be kept separate. Just because someone isn't trusted doesn't mean they won't merit good posts. Yes it will be abused just like anything but, merits are public and should be easy to identify if this done excessively.
