Regarding Bitcoin, how can you transfer it and still remain anonymous? The NSA can track some of the BTC transfers, although it is a laborious process for them. Any ideas about how to foil their attempts, at least somewhat?

Trust me, it's pretty easy for them to track your transactions, they have the manpower and resources to do so. If you don't want the NSA tracking your btc transactions, stop using BTC, Bitcoin doesn't provide the anonymity that you're looking for. But to be honest, I'd say there's a 99% chance that the NSA doesn't give a shit about you, so there's no reason to be paranoid (unless you're planning to do something illegal), although, since you asked that question, you're IP might be in the NSA watch list already.

Regarding Bitcoin, how can you transfer it and still remain anonymous? The NSA can track some of the BTC transfers, although it is a laborious process for them. Any ideas about how to foil their attempts, at least somewhat? It's not labourious for them to track transactions - the bitcoin ledger is public, remember? It's easier for them to track bitcoin than cash. If you genuinely want to be anonymous, use Monero instead.

Quit using the internet, Bitcoin, phones and anything else. Move to a mud hut on the Serengeti and keep a chart of satellite crossovers so you know when to hide from them. Do not let any wild animals near you unless you've cavity searched them for listening devices.
Piece of piss.

From what I know they are only strongly monitoring things related to crime and terrorism, If you are not link to both then they won't be following the money transfers from you. I don't even know how will they link your private wallet address to them. As long as you stay cautious and clean with your cryptocurrency transactions I don't think that you would be of any interest for them as they know their time is well spent elsewhere. Also I don't know how you will "foil" their attempts as you won't even know they were tracking you in the first place.

I don’t think there’s a way to fool them having the advantage of new technologies in tracking and investigation, they’re the most advance department in all the world. If I were you if you’re afraid of being trace then it’s better to go in legal activities so that it won’t be a problem for you. This is the reality that we can’t sugar coated, blockchain technology will not provide anonymity.

Aside from the Mixer Services, you can use "Trading services" like Changelly to convert your Bitcoins into any Altcoins, then diversify the balance before trading them back to btc. But not in an exchange. One conversion might be enough but if you can afford to lose a portion of your btc, use the service twice or more times. Use Mixer in between if you like.
Also, do not use a Wallet that includes an address that you provided or displayed in sites like this together with your "personal funds". But I think you know how to manage your Bitcoins.

The simplest way is to really make sure they don't have an endpoint to follow. These endpoints could be your exchange address (they can request your info from your exchange), or addresses you've used for your online personas (blockchain analytics services should be able to trace nearly everything from there, and the NSA could connect said online persona to you). If you can create an address that cannot be linked to your identity, then it doesn't matter that they can see all of your transactions. You're going to need a lot of throwaway accounts and addresses.
I've heard criminals trade their Bitcoins for Monero then back to Bitcoins to throw off the scent, so that's presumably a great way of preserving anonymity. There's also mixing services, though those tend to lose effectiveness the higher the value you're holding. If anonymity is such a concern, it might be best to just go all-in on fully anonymous cryptocurrencies.

Do not use public wallets like blockchain.info and others | use proxies, vpns, dedicated servers, ssh for transfers better actually rdp as vpn, proxy can be tracked and overcomed by icmp messages by mtu size etc | use mixers | keep your coins in cold storage

Dread pirate roberts used proxies, tor, he used mixers.. and even used other peoples internet (coffee shops) so that nothing can be traced back to him directly.. guess what he got caught it does not matter what you do in the middle to anonymise yourself, if your publicising the start(bitcoin addresses) and end points(postal addresses), given enough time a trail can be found to link the start point to the end point. EG mixers if a known bitcoin address puts 10btc into a mixer and the service is known to charge 1% fee.. with enough data mining it wont take long to retrospectively check around the time of the 10btc deposit. a mixers output that totals/aggregates to 9.99btc
