I think it was just a temporary ban or neo wouldn't even be the price it is today. And as you can see the price of neo it has no affect on it.

I see so many ERC20 ICOs with Asian teams.
I wonder why they are not doing it on Neo?
Thanks

In my opinion NEO price not affected with China Govertment banned ICO because NEO platform is globally so every start ups in the world that want use make application and running ICO in NEO platform can do it. NEO platform has more feature than ETH platform that why the price sky rocketing.

I can tell you something about it.
Because I am a Chinese, China's recent ban ICO, is banned in China these fraudulent ICO team which is from china, and the government is just remind people not to join the encryption cryptocurrency market, because China has not the exchange and the ICO, if people want to continue to participate in, so all the responsibility has nothing to do with the Chinese government.
Then the government asked various financial institutions not to provide the service of exchanging legal money for cryptocurrency.
That's about it.

It is not a permanent ban. China only controls the traffic of their cryptocurrency because there is so many people there. Neo ICOs are slightly affected by this banning and they do not much care if some countries bans ICOs.

I think this is a moratorium only to remind Chinese nationals not to participate in the ICO. Because the ICO is a high-risk or liar, they issued this ban to warn people not to join the world of cryptocurrencies casually.

There seems no effect on the NEO from china ban. One thing was clear after the ICO ban occurred in China, they did not shut the programs completely. Those exchangers who got licensed approved from regulatory authorities still had the chance to trade and exchange currencies. NEO is one of the project which might be trading under such exchangers, leading it’s way. There is also concept like OTC trades so that is how it might have survived the bans.
