Hello,

A time ago i was found by a person by Linkedin offering me a Cloud Minning process that in theory was safe and could bring to me good earnings.

According to this offering i have read a lot about and i think i could try the investment because it would not be possible to steal bitcoin from my wallet without the private key in hands, but what happened to me sounds really strange.

The procedure was to create a wallet in the blockchain.info and send the miner the information about my wallet, including the private key. With these information my wallet in theory was connected to a S9 Antiminer equipment. After this i had to enter in my wallet again, change the password and enable 2FA and MFA authentication for security reasons, fund my wallet and let the minner know to start the mining process.

All this happened and after the process mining started the btc funded in my wallet after i changed the security information was deducted immediately like if i had stolen.

After this i have talked to the minners everyday but my money i never saw again, nor money, or the promised earnings. Please help me to find answers.

This is possible to happen? Is it possible for a miner to steal my btc without the private key? All this is a scam? Have i lost all my money?

Thanks for your help.

Farley.

Other people can chime in, but anything that involves private keys is usually suspect. From what I understand, you supposedly created a new wallet with no funds, but then gave them your wallet with the funds in it? They could have done everything you outlined with just a wallet address. Wallet address to deposit your funds to fund the miner, wallet address to receive the payment from the miner. There shouldn't be any need for private keys. You should always be careful when someone mentions the need for private keys and be willing to lose the money you're risking. I hope you get your funds back.

I did not gave the wallet private key with funds, just when it was empty.

After the miner in theory "finished his job", i changed the private key and enable 2FA, and then i did not gave any additional information, but when the mining process started the funds were deducted from my wallet and i can't see them anymore.

I really would like to know if i was stolen or not.

That kind of things may happen, everyone has to be sure about the security of the things they use, I think most such offers are scam, keep in mind that no one offers you free money.

Sorry for your loss buddy but this is just a typical system of scamming on where people do claim that they would connect your blockchain wallet into a miner and you will able to earn profits overtime which most people know that this thing is an impossible stuff since the way on earning bitcoin itself is really just on having your own asic miner and mine directly through it and other system being said which oppose to this thing is 100% scam.

Checking on the procedure and its quiet obvious that hacker already have the access information on that blockchain.info wallet even you do changed up the password but yet they do have the keys which its meaningless and they can anytime stole those bitcoins inside it.Theres no way for a web-wallet do have the capability on mining bitcoin which it is totally a dumb idea to believe on.

You are joining a 3rd party system and make sure that when you put bitcoin into your website, you can lose all bitcoin. So choose from reputable, reputable, trusted commercial or cloud sites. Do not participate just because of some invitations and incentives for profit. Investigate carefully before making an investment decision as your assets may disappear at any time.

Don't trust for those people who need your private key. Giving them your private key is not safe. Maybe they are hacker. There's a tendency to lose your money.

Really sorry for what occurred to you but you had to know that Cloud Minning = Scam especially when you gave your private key to that guy ( who seems to be a pro scamming hacker ) who just got access to your wallet database ( even after you changed the key and enabled 2fa ) .
I do remember well , someone proposed to me the same thing (at that moment I couldn't buy a hardware mining tool ) but I refused .

Actually Cloud Mining can became scam as you say, but I do not know how. I only can make some thought and opinions about that. Maybe the owner of the cloud mining site will stole some profit that we get. Maybe the owner of the cloud mining site will make some stole our money from our wallet if what you said above are true. The only safest way to mine is by using hardware even though we have to choose the right mining pool and the right system. I do not really like cloud mining because the price of Bitcoin is always go up and make more difficult to us. So I just invest.

Someone also offering me the same about cloud mining site and let me give the private key and the public key to connect to miners as they said honestly i was laughing what they said because no one should know about your private key or seed phrase.. So i decided to ignore them because obvious that  they are scam..
Only people who knows your private key or seed phrase can access your wallet. you should keep them private and never share to anyone..
Next time be always careful ask here first in this forum before you invest because there are lots scammers out there..

That was sad to hear. I have read that most of the cloud mining are scams which is why extreme cautious is a must. Scammers are good hackers and manipulators, even if you gave your private key without fund, they can still find ways of stealing your money because on the first place, you gave them something you should not. Next time do not trust cloud mining immediately. Hope this serves as a lesson to everyone reading this.

I got a similar offer to Twitter.
And the person very insistently asked what my phone model is, and when I install the purse.

He said that he has ASIC and I can increase my money.
And when i said that I will not replenish anything, he immediately disappeared))

Do not trust such people, I hope you have lost a small amount.
No one will increase your deposit.

Cloud mining is risky as there are plenty of ponzi schemes doubling up as mining companies. Do not invest your money into just about any site that has the words cloud mining on it
