How to improve the Announcements section

In my impression the Announcements (Altcoins) section is getting fuller everyday making it more difficult to find newer entrys.

How about fixing that problem by creating two announcements sections "Old" and "New" ?

New Threads begin in "New" and once a thread gets 10000+ views it is automatically moved to the "Old" section.

Of course there would also be other solutions like tagging new threads and giving the option to only list those recently opened ones.

I like the idea but highly doubt that it gets implemented. There's a simple fix in regards to seeing the latest topics first:
