Hello there.

I saw a guy prompting in a video to mine DBX (DubaiCoin), and it seemed like no problem.
I know I won't get anything profitable out of Bitcoin fx. because of my Laptop, and different other factors.

I want to begin mining cryptocurrency, what can I mine - and how can I mine them?

Statement is somewhat confusing, correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I understand.

You want to mine cryptocurrency using your laptop CPU.

what can you mine with it?

you can mine CPU mineable coins algo see this thread:

how can I mine them?

Simple, if you already choose what coin you want to mine, you can now search and use miner and learn how to run them with its configurations.

Some sort of advice, Laptop is not for mining, you can do this only for just a hobby thing trying to prove somewhat new things. not only that its not profitable but also you might end up harming your laptop. if you're serious in mining go build a dedicated mining rig.

a dedicated mining rig is needed, but the thing is, hard to buy good GPUs.
I think that's why, people start to find CPU minable coins.

Like you stated yourself. It will not be profitable. But there are some coins that are easier to mine than other if you want to play a little bit. Some that are easier to mine are:

- IntenseCoin
- Electronium
- Aeon

Others strongly suggest having a mining tool for it can damaged your cpu, laptop etc.. I'm also using my laptop for mining, I found this site FreeBitco.in, it's kinda safe, try it.

it's a new coin so the difficulty is very low. Future will show if it was worth it or not ...

Congratulations.

how long have you been using a laptop ?.
how much income per day ?.
how much electricity bills you spend ?.

As per my experience, mining uses laptop unprofitable and when laptops are used for mining for 8 hours. the laptop will be hot. if this continues to be left. slow but surely make laptop broken.

i suggest to calculate first the power of your cpu, before deciding to mine, is it profitable or not.
