I did an ACH transfer to fund my Coinbase account for the first time with $1000. It took 8 days to go through. In that time Ethereum went up by 40% so I lost out on $400 gain because Coinbase is incredibly slow. Coinbase debit and took the money out of my bank account immediately on the same day I started the transfer but it takes 8 days to see the funds appear in my Coinbase account. And that's only after I filed a complaint with my bank and they contacted Coinbase on my behalf. My bank told me ACH transfer should not take that long its usually only 1 or 2 days at most.

The bank I use is in California the same state as Coinbase so it should not take that long. I could understand taking longer if I was in a different country but that is not the case. Whenever I do ACH transfer to fund my stock market brokerage account for investing in stocks the funds always show up immediately within 24 hours so I don't understand why Coinbase is so slow. Makes me wonder if they are a scam.

because they want to make billion without spending anything to customer service.
Coinbase is way greedy
i sent them $15000 returned 15 days later for name dosent match and deduct $25 from the money.
name on account is same ssn id all good.
gemini approve same day.
and us banks are worst about wire fees.
Sending money to bitmain from another  country with  online  account (most us bank doesnt even have online wire option)
takes 1 day cost $15  and goes full to bitmain account.
Same from td bank cost $50 take 5 days and for some reason hit bitmain acc kind of $50 less.

i have btc from $200 was buying only 0.2btc because those greedy coinbase guys was allowing only %40 a day wtf.
after 4 years i check still my bank deposit limit is $50 crazy no sense. It is not about the securty etc, It is about they want to leech btc buyers with fees.

always have antminers and psu for sale please dm

I'm interested in the correct answer here as well and I don't think it has anything to do with Coinbase, but the infrastructure and red tape of the banking system in the US. What happens between the request for a transfer and the actual transfer? I have another online account completely unrelated to bitcoin @ www.prosper.com, if I transfer to or from that account it takes the EXACT same amount of time. I withdraw from prosper, then one minute later deposit to Coinbase. Both transactions hit my bank account about 8 days later a couple minutes apart. Huh
