A GUIDE TO AIRDROPS

By Abraham David

As promised, we will have a seminar tonight. After this seminar, I expect us to become gurus in this field and should tutor some new members we have here.

To get started, you need a Bitcointalk account which can be created at https://bitcointalk.org

A ETH Wallet address which can be created at https://myetherwallet.com

A Twitter Account which can be created at https://twitter.com

A facebook account which can be created at https://facebook.com

Bitcointalk has ranks ranging from:-
Brand New
Newbie
Jr. Member
Member
Full Member
Legendary
Hero

In order for you to increase your rank on bitcointalk, you need to be posting. Now, how do you post, what do you post. Some forms require that you must have the Jr. Member rank upwards to qualify for the Airdrops while some are open to everyone. A newly registered account has the Brand New rank. When you post, it proceeds to Newbie.  When you have 30 posts and 30 activities, it moves to Jr. Member. The more your posts and activities increase, the more your account gets upgraded.

Now, some forms would mandate you to comment on the Bitcointalk ANN  for you to qualify for Airdrops. You should make sure that your post is constrictive. Don't praise the project, dont rubbish the project. When you see something not appealing in the project, be diplomatic in pointing it out. Criticize constructively and don't be too strict.

In bitcointalk, there is what we call Trust level, When you log into your account and click on profile, you would see beneath the page Trust 0.0-0.0, When a person praises a project too much on bitcointalk, the moderators would assume that the person is collaborating with the developer (dev) i.e the project owner to scam people.

Once you do that consistently, your account trust would become red and whenever you post, people would see that you aren't trustworthy and this could affect you from receiving Airdrops.

On Bitcointalk, there are many forums. To increase your rank and to protect your account from being banned, create posts more in Off-Topic, Politics & Society. You can reply any posts but when you create posts, it increases your rank more.

When you create posts or reply posts, try as much as possible to make three or more lines. Not just two to three words. Moderators see your short posts as as spam and could block your account if you persist. You got to start again for another account registrations.

If you have not gotten your profile link, go to your account, click on profile, click on summary,  copy the link url in your browser, edit the link
This is how a Bitcointalk profile link looks like:-
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1945687

When a form asks for your bitcointalk ID, it's asking for the last 7 digits on your profile link. When it asks for your username, it's demanding for the nickname you registered with. It is also important to add your ETH Wallet address to your account profile. To do that, log into your account, Click on Profile, Click forum related information, lookout for location column, input your Ethereum Wallet Address and click Change profile.

If you don't have a twitter account, create one, get not less than 20 followers. This is how a twitter profile link looks like:- https://twitter.com/mandy86 (mandy86 is your twitter username). Some forms ask for twitter username, others asks for twitter profile link. Some asks for facebook username, others asks for facebook profile link. This is how a facebook profile link looks like:-  https://www.facebook.com/langsbabg
(langsbabg is the facebook username)

You also need Telegram
Download Telegram App from your Smartphone App Store e.g Google Play Store, register and verify your account. You need your username
Go to settings, choose a username you won't forget easily and save it
This is a Telegram account link  https://t.me/gudu (@gudu is your telegram username).

In some cases, you might be told to tweet, retweet, share facebook posts. You should tweet/share and copy the links. You also need a email address, I advise that you create a special email for this project

AIRDROPS, What is?
Airdrops means the initial stage of a Crypto project. A developer develops a project and because the project wouldn't have value in a single wallet, he decides to call people to come and benefit from it. The more wallets the project is occupying, the more value the project has. Some airdrops are waves platform based while some are ERC20 based token. You need to be very careful and read information on every form before you fill.

To get a waves Wallet, go to waveswallet.io
Click on Create Wallet
Input the necessary details
Copy your seed (same as private keys)
Save them in a draft and don't loose them.

Some Airdrops are web based i.e you can't transfer them into ETH Wallet or Waves Wallet. In this case, make sure you keep the login details to those websites in a draft. As much as you need to be fast when filling forms to take the top spot, you also need to be careful. When you give your PRIVATE KEYS to a stranger, you already handed over your Wallet to him and so he can easily steal all your coins. That is why you should store your private keys in a place not easily accessible to you.

All you need to fill Airdrops form
1. Bitcointalk Account
2. Twitter Account (20 followers or more)
3. Facebook Account (20 friends or more)
Telegram (with username)
4. Email address
5. ETH Address / Waves Address
6. In some cases, Instagram, LinkedIn, Medium, Reddit, Stemmit,  Slack, Discord etc.
Go and read more on your own on the item number 6.

When a form asks for Txn ID or Txn Hash ID. It's asking you to pay. Don't pay for any AIRDROPS. Just put 0 or Free or Free Airdrops or Airdrops in the column

In some cases, there are no forms to fill. You are to submit your details to a bot (robot). Just make sure you are interacting with the projects bot. Submit your details carefully. Read all information well before sending details to the bot

Note:- For every Wallet Address, the process of creation is almost the same. The most important is to keep your private keys and password in your archive and make sure not to share them with anyone.

Make sure to have your twitter account link, facebook account link, bitcointalk account link, telegram username within reach so as to ease the process of filling forms. And don't expose this details to strangers as they might start using your details for filling forms and at the end of the day, you who created the accounts might get disqualified

SPREADSHEET
Spreadsheet is the collation of all eligible participants for Airdrops. When 2000 people applied for a project by filling forms, the developers check the forms for duplicate entries (cheating), incomplete entries and brings out the final list. In some cases, when you check the spreadsheet and your details is not there, you should speak politely with the dev and beg him if need be. We call it Lobbying so as to get a part of the Airdrops. When you see a form without Twitter handle, Telegram group/Channel or any Social media presence, it is from SCAMMERS, run away from it.

Note:- Never underestimate a project. Be smart when filling forms and be extra careful not to give out sensitive information like your private keys. Don't be a dumper i.e try to discipline yourself to HODL unto your tokens at least for two months before you sell.

SNAPSHOT
Snapshot is a process by which a developer takes record of all the wallets holding his Airdrops and reward them for their Support. Holding your tokens is important because it's a way of supporting the Project. The more people hold their tokens, the more value the token has and the more people sell, the more depreciation in value the token suffers
