I can not find a NICE place to gamble. Don't tell me about betco.in or something, they're fantastic considering that they are just part-time job by some bitcoin enthusiasts. It cannot satisfy my need as gambler who used to played really nice online  gambling games. Of course, other games like bitcoin pyramid is totally a joke.

So, it's still the basic problem with bitcoin: so little product and service. Even gambling game.

However, Do you think the no-good-gambling-service will last long? No, I don't think it will last long. If you see a good gambling site accept bitcoin and the chip just priced in bitcoin but not USD, you can just buy in large amount of bitcoin before gamblers buying.

If you see any of my suggestions useful, please donate me. http://btc.to/ec

bitcoin is too expensive and rare to gamble with right now.

It's like gambling with gold. A $10 bet would be .0001 ounce. It doesn't feel like you're winning anything.
Also people want to keep their bitcoins hoping to get $100/bitcoin sometime in the future without gambling.

I think that is your own personal belief.  I've got friends who just got into bitcoin so they could play texas holdem and really dont care about the long term value of bitcoin.

i've never understood this argument.  if i plan to spend, i don't care if i spend bitcoins or dollars as i can fairly easily replenish my bitcoin stash.

here's what convinced me even more.  let's say you generally have your savings in bitcoins.  and then say you want to make a bigger purchase than the amount you have in your cash wallet but will be making the purchase either way.

which payment method will you prefer to use then?  exchange bitcoins to cash, or will you prefer that they accept bitcoins and you just pay with those?

as far as the thread topic though, bitlotto (monthly) or bitlotto jr (weekly) are pretty good.  99% payout. all ticket purchases appear in the block chain so there is no question as to how many tickets were purchased and what the payout should be: http://www.bitlotto.com  http://www.bitlotto.com/jr.php

This doesn't really apply.  People will treat their purchase as USD discretionary spending, and simply purchase enough new bitcoin for today's purchase. For the user, it's in and out of bitcoin within the day.

The effect on the bitcoin economy should be significant however.  A large number of bitcoin will be required to perform the daily purchases if gambling takes off.

If there was a way to get bitcoins into and out of Pokerstars (or other major poker site) then bitcoins would suddenly become quite popular with US citizens.

We need a Pokerstar-level online gambling service accepts and only accepts bitcoin. I just think it's quite possible. the online gambling service needs licences, and some country don't allow their people to gamble. Accept bitcoin and accept potential customers.
